I was so impressed with Skinner from start to finish. From the quoting process to the actual move, everything was incredibly smooth. No question was too silly (our rep was reachable via text, which made things so easy) and no ask was too tall. Our local move was quoted for six hours; the team did it in four. Everything was meticulously packed, disassembled and reassembled. They had our new place looking like home in no time. Everyone was so kind and professional. I'd recommend them to anyone!

I would definitely use Skinner Moving $ Storage again for an interstate move. This is a trustworthy business, and Wade Skinner is a very good, attentive owner-manager. He was always available to respond to our moving needs throughout the entire process. The price for our move was reasonable considering the amount of household goods we had, and the distance to our new home. Discounts were applied to the contract. There was some drama on moving day because the number of large 26 foot trucks needed for the move was misjudged on the estimate. During the last hours loading the trucks, it was obvious the amount of boxes and furniture were not going to fit in two trucks. But Wade was quick to provide another smaller truck to fit the remaining items and transport them to a climate controlled storage container he owns near his business to store those items at no cost until I could contract PODS to ship them to our new residence. Once the PODS contract was put in place, he used his expert team to load and supervise the POD shipment at minimal extra cost. Everything arrived in good shape.

This company is incredible. How incredible you ask? They just finished the first half of my move and are on the way to unload the trucks at our new place. I am writing this review from the drive through at Dunkin Donuts because I wanted to stop and get the crew drinks to show my gratitude. A five star review could not wait!! That is how incredible this whole experience has been.

So far I’m very impressed with Skinner’s Moving. They came into today & securely wrapped my items in record time. Tomorrow they will be moving the items into my new home.

Read the fine print - even on the tablet! We had heard such wonderful reviews of Skinner and were shocked when they broke some of our belongings and lost others during our move. I even witnessed one of the movers drop a $600 lamp and break it - to which he said, "just make a claim and we will make it right." I'm not a lawyer, but reading the fine print of the contract, if you don't buy the insurance (which we were not verbally offered) Skinner is only responsible for 60 cents per pound of each individual item they are moving and storing. We stored over 9,000 pounds and using the logic they are using (which I have to agree is in the fine print of the contact I signed on moving day on a tablet of some sort) they could have simply told us it was all lost and written us a check for $5400. It is not reasonable. After giving us the "legal response" - "our liability is $43.80" and "we would like to go above and beyond to make you happy ..... we will write you a check for $200" we have asked for serious consideration and are awaiting a response. I will re-post and report on that response if I get one. My advice is if you think you might want to use Skinner, get a quote that includes the insurance and make your decision based on that number. Otherwise the risk is all yours and it is in their (not really) capable hands.

Skinner Movers did an excellent job on our move. They accommodated us for a last minute move, wrapped all of our furniture with great detail, and they were very respectful, kind and hardworking. I was very impressed! Thank you!

I highly recommend Skinner Moving and Storage. I liked them so much after the first move, I hired them for my second move! Very responsive, accurate estimates, and the staff is very professional. During one of my moves, we were missing a glass table top. Wade had it replaced in less than a week. No ifs and or buts. When things dont go 100% right - that's when you learn the most about the character of a company. This company has character. Update: i used Skinner again on March 4th 2026. It was a move with pickups at 2 places. Jarod and Robert were on time and got everything packed in record time. Delivery was also right on time (same day). They even offered to use the stairs rather than the elevator to make things go faster. I can’t recommend this company enough!

We hired Skinner to move furniture out of the way to have our floors refinished. They were on time and finished much more quickly than we expected. We had to pay for a 3 hour minimum but that’s expected. Rob and Ronnie were friendly, professional and efficient. Looking forward to them putting everything back once the floors are finished. ✅
